Super Bowl Beer Margaritas

It’s football season and what better way to spend it than with some of your best friends, favorite foods and some tasty cocktails. This spin on the classic margarita is a perfect recipe for a crowd. The blend of light beer and fresh lime juice are balanced by some store bought limeade…not a typical margarita ingredient we know but it works great here. The ease of this recipe allows you focus on the food, friends and of course…the game!

What You Will Need:

  • 12oz of quality silver tequila
  • 12oz quality light beer
  • 12oz water
  • 12oz of limeade concentrate (1 can)
  • Ice
  • Lime wedges

Directions

Pour everything in a large pitcher and stir very well until all ingredients are blended. Make sure to add a good amount of ice to keep everything as cold as possible. Taste and then add some fresh squeezed lime juice to your own preference. .  Pour into glasses with ice and salted rims and garnish with lime a lime wedge. This makes 6-8 servings. Enjoy the game!

How You Can Make The Kardashian's Favorite Salad at Home!

What comes to mind when you hear the name Kardashian? Butts? Kanye West? Fashion? Actually the most googled thing about the Kardashians is salad. Over the years fans of the show have been wondering about the salads the Kardashians eat and last year they revealed that one of their favorite places to get salads from was Health Nut in Woodland Hills, California. Here's how you can make it at home.

 

TTW Take on The Health Nut Chef Salad:
1 1/2 cups of Romaine lettuce, rinsed and chopped
I/4 cup of cucumbers
1 avocado
2 small roma tomatoes
1 boiled egg
1/3 cup of Shredded chicken (TTW recommends using rotisserie chicken or even leftover chicken breasts)
1 tbsp. of sunflower seeds
1/4 cup of alfalfa sprouts

Homemade Italian dressing
⅓ cup olive oil
3½ tablespoons vinegar (suggestions: salad, red wine, or balsamic)
2 tablespoons grated Romano cheese
1 teaspoon granulated sugar
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
¾ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon garlic powder

Combine the olive oil, vinegar, Romano cheese. sugar, salt, garlic powder in a small bowl. Set aside while you assemble salad. In a separate bowl combine the lettuce, sprouts, tomatoes, egg, cucumber, shredded chicken, sunflower seed and alfalfa sprouts. Toss the salad with dressing and serve.
